"Seagrapes" also known as green caviar, is a collective term for the edible varieties of the green seaweed genus Caulerpa. The name “sea grapes” comes from the appearance of this seaweed variety; it looks like tiny clusters of green grapes. The edible bubbles are technically the leafy part of the seaweed, and they grow on a long edible stem. Caulerpa lentillifera as its scientific name is one of the favored species due to its soft and succulent texture. It is usually eaten raw with vinegar, as a snack or in a salad.
